Sin fronteras / No Boundaries

Hablando geográficamente, en estos momentos, prácticamente tengo acceso a todo el mundo. Y es que mi vida y la suerte de las últimas semanas, dió un giro de 180º. (Para exagerar pondría un número mayor, pero me corro el riesgo de volver al punto inicial, uds saben todo esto de los ángulos circulares ... etc etc , hehe).

Hasta hace dos semanas tenía la visa a España negada, y la mejor oportunidad académico-profesional de los últimos años se me escapaba de las manos. Como conté, tenía pensado llegar hasta el final, ser persistente pues me parecía injusta la decisión que había tomado el Consulado de España, y por eso mismo apelé e interpuse un recurso para que reconsideraran mi caso.
Y así fue, un día me llamaron, y para el martes pasado ya tenía la visa Shengen en mi pasaporte. Excelente !!!! Acceso a toda la comunidad Schengen (España, Portugal, Francia, Alemania, Italia, etc etc , por mencionar los más importantes ). El último bloque que faltaba para concretar la realización de mis prácticas en el exterior. Listo y contentísimo.

Pero de alli vino algo mejor. Para llegar a Europa y evitar un tremendo gasto tenía que irme vía USA, necesitaba una visa. Me presenté pidiendo la visa de tránsito, ya que no te piden casi nada, se supone que es muy sencilla de conseguirla, ya que nisiquiera te dejan salir del aeropuerto, creo que nisiquiera sales de la zona internacional y te encierran en una habitación con un guardia en la puerta mientras esperas la salida de tu otro vuelo.
A la señora que estaba delante mio le negaron la visa que solicitaba, y a mi me dieron una mejor que la que pedía. Me han dado la visa de tourista a USA por 10 años con múltiples entradas ( suena bien no ?? ) jajaja. En estos momentos tengo acceso a más de la mitad del mundo, sólo que no tengo el dinero suficiente para conocer esa mitad del mundo.

El viernes pasado compré mis pasajes. Me despido de Perú el sábado 13 de Setiembre.
El domingo 14 de setiembre salgo de Lima a las 6 am y llego a Miami a las 12 m. Seis horas después sale mi vuelo hacia Madrid, a donde llegaré a las 9 am del día siguiente. No se sorprendan al calcular matemáticamente las horas aparentes de mi vuelo, recuerden que giraré junto con la tierra.

Los planes para los siguientes 8 meses aún no son definidos. Tengo muchas ganas de conocer lo más que pueda de Europa y lo más que pueda de Estados Unidos. Ya les iré contando como se perfilan mis visitas conforme pasen los días y me adapte a la vida europea.

Geographycally, right now, i have access to almost the entire world. In the last weeks my life and my destiny had a 180º round. ( To exagerate i would give a higher number, but there is the risk to be back to the initial point, you know this confusing stuff of the circular angles.. etc etc , hehe )

Until two weeks ago the spanish visa had been denied to me, and the best academic-professional opportunity i have had in the last years seemed to be far far. Like i said before, i was decided to go until the end with this, because it seemed to me to be an unfair decision taken by the Spanish Embassy, so i appealed against that decision.
That way, last week they called me home at night, and on tuesday i had the Schengen visa in my passport. Excellent!!. Access to all the Schengen comunity ( Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Italy, etc etc, just to mention the most important countries). It was the last piece in this puzzle for my international internship to become reality. I am right now ready and really happy.

But after that , something even better came for me. In order to travel to Europe and to avoid expending too much money in my flight ticket, i had to go through USA. I applied for the transit US visa, since it was easier to get than the tourist one, because with the transit visa they don't let you get out of the airport, and i think they don`t even let you get out of the international area, keeping you in a room with a guard outside, while you wait for your next flight.
The lady that was before me in the line, got the visa denied, and i got something even better than what i was requesting. They gave me the tourist US visa for 10 years with multiple entrances. ( sounds good right ?) hahaha. So, right now i have access to half of the world, but i dont have enough money to go and visit that half of the world.

I bought my flight ticket last friday. I will say bye to Perú on Saturday september 13th. On sunday 14th my flight departs from Lima at 6 am, and it will arrive to Miami at midday. Six hours later i will be taking another flight heading to Madrid, where i will arrive at 9 am of the following day. Doing some maths seems to be a lot of hours right?? , well dont forget i am flying in the same direction the planet is spinning to.

The plan for the next 8 months is not defined yet. I am dreaming about traveling to so many countries in Europe and then to go to so many cities in USA. I will be writing here how my plans define as days pass through and as i get along with european lifestyle.
