Y pensar que ayer nomás estaba en el aeropuerto de Lima. El viaje realmente me ha parecido muy rápido. Las 12 horas del viaje las puedo resumir en que vi una película por completo (Harry Potter 7 - Parte 2), dormí y comí, dormí y comí, y así deben haber sido varias veces porque mi memoria sólo recuerda estar bajando la bandeja para que me pongan algo de comer o de tomar. Cuando realmente me he despertado sólo faltaba 1 hora y media, según la pantalla del estado de vuelo. Pero esa misma pantalla nos mostraba que recién estábamos pasando por encima de Londres. Eso comprueba que en Europa todo está muy cerca. Ya lo único que me quedó hacer en esa hora fue jugar algo en la pantalla interactiva y admirar a la flight hostess, que por cierto era blanca y hermosa (jaja).
El aeropuerto Schiphol de Amsterdam es de un nivel superior a cualquier otro que haya visto. En primer lugar, y para refregárselo en la cara al de Lima, aquí hay internet gratis Wi-Fi de buena calidad en todo el aeropuerto. Aunque sólo es gratis por dos sesiones de media hora, creo que es más que suficiente para el tiempo que una persona normalmente pasa en un aeropuerto. Yo, como no soy una persona normal, estoy pasando muchas más horas aquí. Estoy haciendo transbordo para tomar un avión hacia Abu Dhabi, casi 12 horas después.
No me arriesgué a salir a Amsterdam porque me dijeron que habían problemas con los trenes, y entre que paso migraciones para salir y luego al dia siguiente tengo que estar bien temprano, preferí quedarme y descansar. Y es que este aeropuerto está tan bien pensado que tienen una zona de descanso público. Deben ser unas tres decenas de asientos reclinados acolchonados y con cubierta de cuero, de acceso libre para que los viajeros descansen en posición casi horizontal. Y te ponen una musica de fondo que es para relajarte totalmente. Así como es público y aparentemente tranquilo, nunca falta su borracho que haga lios. Y en este caso fue una borracha, que fue llevada hasta una camilla contigua casi a la fuerza alejándola del bar y del alcohol, al parecer ya había tenido excesos. La única manera que lograron que se eche tranquila a descansar fue cuando la amenazaron de arrestarla si es que no les hacía caso a los policías. No pasó ni un minuto y la borracha ya estaba roncando.
Cosas a tener en cuenta cuando lleguen al este aeropuerto de Amsterdam: Los tomacorrientes son distintos !!!!!! Antes de viajar consíganse esos adaptadores universales para enchufes. Los policias andan en ruedas, pero no es bicicletas, sino en esos que parecen scooters, pero que son movidos en base a electricidad almacenada. Son muy pocos los restaurantes que están abiertos las 24 hrs, así que eviten pasar una noche en el aeropuerto, o sino cómprense algo antes de las 10 de la noche que es cuando cierra la mayoría de lugares, o sino no pierdan la esperanza y sigan buscando que algún lugar encontrarán abierto en la madrugada.

Y también algunas cosas o recomendaciones en general para cuando vayan al Aeropuerto Jorge Chavez en Lima. Viajen con ropa ligera, o sea con zapatillas (cualquier calzado que no tenga metal en ningún lado). Sus collares, relojes, pulseras, anillos, celulares, y monedas (todo implementos similar que tenga metal) guárdenlo en su mochila o bolso de mano antes de pasar por los detectores de metales (tan obvio). De esa manera se ayudarán uds mismos para no tener que estar desvistiéndose y vistiéndose allí mismo, ya que sólo ponen su bolsa de mano, caminan por el detector, y recogen su bolsa de mano y siguen su camino, ya más adelante se lo pondrán tranquilos en la zona de abordaje. Y también ayudan a los demás, porque siempre los tumultos se hacen porque hay gente que tiene que pasar por el detector dos o tres veces, ya que siempre tiene algo metálico que tiene que quitárselo. Si van a entrar a la zona de abordaje dos o tres horas antes, coman algo afuera antes, porque adentro todo es caro !!!!!!! Una botella de agua San Luis está 5 soles !!!!
Ha sido mucho para describir sólo sobre una visita de transbordo a un aeropuerto. Espero poder hablar más de Amsterdam como ciudad apartir del 21/4.
PD: A pesar de toda la modernidad y elegancia de este aeropuerto, tiene ratones que se pasean por la noche.

Oh yeah!!! I am in Amsterdam and there is no way I can be wrong about that. From the fact that all the options for accessing my blog were shown in dutch. Advertisement shown on the right side of the websites are referred to Holland and are written in dutch. People speaks in a language that for me sounds a little bit like german, but that I dont understand at all anyways. All the girls are white and pretty. I am in Amsterdam!!! Although just inside the airport, and for some hours, but I am already here and once this trip began there is no other way to just continue until the end no matters what happens.
So difficult to believe that just yesterday I was at the airport in Lima. The flight was really fast for me. The 12 hours we were on the air I could resume them like this : I watched a complete movie (Harry Potter 7 - Part 2), I slept and ate, slept and ate, and like this in a repeating way since my memory just remembers me loading down the table for the flight hostess to put something to eat or drink on it. When I finally really woke up there was 1 hours and a half left for arriving to Amsterdam based on what the flight tracking screen was saying. But that same screen was showing us flying over London. That is another proof that in Europe everything is so close. The only thing I had to do in that time was playing on the interactive screen and admire at the flight hostess, that indeed was white and pretty. (haha)
Schiphol airport in Amsterdam is of a higher level than any other airport I have ever visited. First thing to highlight, and to smash it on the face of Lima airport, is that here we have good quality free Wi-Fi internet access in the whole airport area. Although it is just free two times for 30 minutes each time, but so far is the average time a common person spend in the airport wiating. Since I am not a common person, I am spending a lot more than 1 hour waiting here. I am doing an transfer to take another flight to Abu Dhabi, which will depart more than 12 hours later.

Some things to take into consideration when visiting this airport in Amsterdam. The power socket outlets are different !!!!! Before travelling get those universal adaptors for any kind of sockets. Police men go around the airport on wheels, not on bikes, but in those electrical scooters, where they just go standing. Few restaurants are open 24hrs, so try not to spend a night in this airport, of get something to eat before 10 pm that is when most restaurants close, or keep looking harder for finding an open pleace after midnight.

And some other things to take into consideration when going to the International airport in Lima. Go with confty clothes, it means any kind of skechers (or any shoes that may not have any metallic component). Neckless, watches, rings, cellphones and coins (or any similar belonging) keep them in your backpack or handbag before passing the metal detector (obvious of course). That way you help your self for avoiding gettings undresses and dressed right there, you would only need to place you handbag on one side and walk through the detector, then pick up your bag and continue your way, for getting dressed quietly in the boarding area, for example. That way you also help other people that may be on hurry, since the slowest point is always in the metallic detectors since there is people that has to pass like three times, for every metallic thing that forgot to take out. If you plan to get into the boarding area like three hours before your departure, eat something outside before, because inside everything is too stupidly expensive !!!!!! One bottle of wat is 5 soles (like 2 dollars!!!!).
It has been too much writing for a small transfer visit inside an airport. I hope to talk more about Amsterdam city after April 21st.
PD: Beside all the modernity and elegance of this airport, it has mice going around at nights.
